IMPORTANT NOTICE RE SERVICE DISRUPTION

WE ARE DUE TO HAVE A MAJOR UPGRADE TO OUR COMPUTER SYSTEM LATER THIS MONTH AND WE REGRET TO ADVISE YOU THAT THERE WILL BE SOME DISRUPTION TO PATIENT SERVICES.

FROM WEDNESDAY 25 MAY 2011, WE WILL HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO PATIENTS WHO TRANSFERRED FROM MALPAS MEDICAL CENTRE ON 1 APRIL 2011. WE RECOMMEND THAT THOSE PATIENTS WHO NEED REPEAT MEDICATION DURING THE WEEK COMMENCING MONDAY 23 MAY SHOULD APPLY EARLY AS WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ISSUE REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS FROM 25 TO 31 MAY INCLUSIVE.

FROM FRIDAY 27 MAY 2011, ACCESS TO MALPAS BROOK HEALTH CENTRE PATIENTS’ RECORDS WILL ALSO BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL LATE TUESDAY 31 MAY 2011 AND THEREFORE WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ISSUE REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS TO THIS GROUP OF PATIENTS DURING THIS PERIOD. AGAIN WE RECOMMEND THAT PATIENTS SHOULD APPLY EARLY FOR ANY PRESCRIPTIONS THAT ARE DUE TO BE DISPENSED AROUND THIS TIME TO AVOID DELAY.

WE WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE APPOINTMENTS FOR ROUTINE PROBLEMS AND EMERGENCIES BUT ACCESS TO PATIENTS’ MEDICAL RECORDS WILL BE LIMITED AND WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE OUR USUAL FULL RANGE OF SERVICES TO OUR PATIENTS.

WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS IMPORTANT UPGRADE WORK MAY CAUSE AND WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO MINIMISE THE IMPACT IT MAY HAVE UPON OUR PATIENTS.

Practice Profile
We reside in a modern purpose-built building first occupied in October 1989 with ample parking provided. There is a spacious comfortable waiting area lit by natural light which can easily be accessed by our disabled patients.

The surgery is situated just off Malpas Road on the Newport side of Junction 26 off the M4, at the entrance to Goodrich Crescent nearest the motorway exit. It can be easily identified by its prominent sign.
